Tall Ships 2007

The Tall Ships’ Races 2007 Mediterranean is the regatta for tall-masted sailing ships organised by STI (Sail Training International) and STA-Italia, founded by the Italian Navy and the Yacht Club Italiano in 1996 to train young people in the skills of sailing. The stars of this event are the tall ships from the naval academies of various different countries and the young people between the ages of sixteen and twenty-five that make up 50% of the crews. The world’s most beautiful sailing ships will leave Alicante on 7th July, stopping at Barcelona and Toulon and before arriving in Genoa on the 28th. The ships will be moored in the Porto Antico and at the Stazione Marittima until 31st. An event that should not be missed during the summer of 2007. During the four days of events for the public and the crews, the Porto Antico area will be enlivened with parades, tours of the ships and associated activities, providing a unique and exciting opportunity to experience the values of the sea together.
